What about the temperature in the center of the Earth, what is it?

Best Answer:

The surface of the sun is about 6000 degrees C. The core of the earth was thought to be about 5000-6000 degrees C, but recently scientists theorized that it may be cooler, as low as 3600 degrees C.

Sun: About 9,600 degrees Farenheit. Earth: About 7,000 degrees Celsius Yes the core of the Earth is hotter than the surface of the sun.

The surface of the Sun, or photosphere has a temperature of nearly 11,000 degrees Farenheit, except within sunspots. Those are some 2,000 to 3,000 degrees Farenheit cooler than their surroundings. The inner core of the Earth on the other hand may be at a temperature as high as 14,000 degrees Farenheit based on seismological and laboratory evidence. Scientists have been trying to simulate the inner core of the Earth for years. However nobody knows for sure exactly how hot it really is, but it's likely to be well in excess of 8,000 degrees Farenheit. Unlike the Sun's photosphere, the inner core of the Earth is solid due to the enourmous pressure exerted by the rest of the planet upon it.

the surface of the sun is about 5,000 degrees kalvin which is about 15,000 degrees or 20,000 degrees farinheit. but the core of the earth, im not sure, but i cerntainly think that u could check it out on google or something. but contrary to someone else said the core of the earth is hotter that the sun, THAT IS NOT TRUE!!!!! if it were we would all be roasting right now. hope i helped.

Temperature of the surface of the Sun is 5778 deg Kelvin or 9953 degrees Fahrenheit. Temperature of the center of the Earth is *estimated* at between 5000 to 6000 degrees Celcius or 9000-10800 degree Fahrenheit. Neither is a great vacation spot.
