Why did the American people allow themselves to be terrorized into voting for Bush in 2004?

Oh the boogie man, he's out there!!!! Why do people believe this nonsense? 9-11? Bush had how many warnings before it happened, why didn't he stop it? How many previous attempts were made on the world trade centers??? What, Bush didn't think they were important enough to guard?

Best Answer:

Those are the cowards. It's america's dirty little secret. The republican party is full of them. All you will hear is, he is keeping us safe, as if he wasn't the president during 911.He's not even concernd with Al quida, they are getting stronger in Afganistan. Obama wants to leave Iraq and redeploy more troops to Afganistan. McCain is still stuck on stupid.

You should be shot for treason! Go to NYC and talk like that- I DARE you! it was Clinton that paved the way for the attacks. Bush hadn't even settled in yet. Bush has kept you safe for the last 7 years!

Because there is a man...an unspeakable man...HE WHO SHALL NOT BE NAMED...well, OK, I'll name him: Karl Rove. And see, the thing about Karl Rove is, he's a MASTER at creating fear, and when people feel fear, they are afraid of change, so they vote for the incumbent, knowing that he's part of the problem, but hey, he's the "devil you know", and the other guy may be worse, right? FEAR.

Get your facts. No one was terrorized, they voted for the best candidate. Grow up!!

Why are American people allowing themselves to be brainwashed by an unpatriotic, Flip flopping racist. OBAMA.

15... am I right?... yer 15, maybe 16... grow up and get a clue... there's no big red "S" painted on Bush's chest... and as long as we are crying over spilled milk, at least Bush didn't give up a chance to have bin Laden's head on a platter like another president I know of...

Guard the World Trade Center? Are you thinking a Pinkerton guard at the entrance to the building could have stopped the airplanes?

Karl Rove.

Actually, John Kerry scared me enough to make me vote republican. The first attack on the WTC was in 1993. That means Clinton had almost 7 years to do something about it. And during that time, AlQaeda attacked a US battleship, and 2 US embassies in Africa. Not to mention the mess he got us into in Mogadishu (Black Hawk Down), and several others in which nothing was done. What have you to say about that?

You do realize that power does not land squarely on any presidents shoulders right? Or have you forgotten you high school government class? Power is divided between three governmental branches.... at least that's how it was a few years ago. Oh and I wasn't bullied into anything when I thought that Bush was the right choice (and a much better one than Shot-myself-in-the-foot-Kerry) and that he had a job that he needed (and still needs to) finish. Byron: not necessarily... I have stated many times that I do not know if I will vote for McCain and I will look for other options first.

Never ceases to amaze me, just like the same people that will vote for McCain.

It's the same as now. After 8 years of the same party in power, the party out of power is usually elected. Clinton had 8 years. There's really only one time that this rule of thumb did not apply. that was Bush I after 8 years of Reagan. You could count Truman but I don't think those circumstance were the norm. It had nothing to do with 9/11. In 2004, Bush had the benefit of another rule of thumb. No President has been turned out of office during a major war.

Pure stupidity

Karl Rove the master mind of Bush used issues like gays and gay marriage to avoid the real issues in some states. Scare the voters that gays are going to take over the country. It is all right for Bush to lie about WMD and the connection of Iraq and 9-11.

If you are just going to blame Bush for 911, I think you have to take into consideration the people of New York. They were much closer to the target than Bush was. How come they didn't take more precaution? You can't blame one person for terrorist acts other than the terrorist. Would you really want to live in a state of being watched 24/7? That's what it would take to secure our country. FREEDOM would be a thing of the past. Never to be seen again. In a Free Country, we trust otherwise, we walk around in fear and paranoia. The terrorists have already taken many freedoms from us at the airports and other travel stations. Ubgirly2 girl, I would like to see more answers from U than all your questions. How would U handle it?

Glenda B - 2008-07-08 18:47:38
WE didn't. The election was rigged and stolen by the Republicans contracting out with Diebold. Old news. Bush has never won an election - he is a fraud.
